RIhanna doesn't disappoint. Fenty Beauty is dropping the Beach Please collection on 4/6 as the weather attempts to heat up. WIth Body Lava coming in 2 shades, Brown Sugar and Who Needs Clothes? As the weather continues to play with our emotions based on last week's snowstorm, our skin is caught in the crossfire. Between frigid weather, rare 40+ degree weather, snow and freezing rain how should we keep our skin moisturized? As much as I love winter, my skin isn't as fond of it. Here are a few products from The Body Shop that have kept my skin pretty satisfied this winter.
Drops of Youth Concentrate: This has been helpful with keeping my skin looking fresher and feeling a lot smoother. It absorbs pretty quick. I use this twice a day on freshly washed and dried skin. 3 drops of this spread evenly on your face and you're good to go.
After using the drops of youth, I use the Vitamin E Moisture Cream in the morning. A little goes a long with this and it holds well against the wind. The best part is your skin doesn't feel sticky or heavy afterward.
At night, I use the Aloe Soothing Night Cream. After a long day, this serves as a nice refreshing pick me-up. A little goes a long way with this one also. It doesn't weigh your skin down and keeps your skin moisturized throughout the night.
What are some products you've used this winter?

With the tagline of Fenty Beauty being "The New Generation of Beauty, it's easy to see that with the variety of shades of foundation that will be available. Rihanna is committed to celebrating and embracing all shades and hues from lippies to highlights. The days of having to buy and mix multiple foundations may soon be behind us. The line is set to be available on September 8 at midnight. The products will be available for purchase on Sephora, Harvey Nichols and Fenty Beauty.
Our #HCW this week is @wolftyla, a dope ass chick who reigns and slays from New York.
@Wolftyla has been doing her thing for a minute now. She's only 20 years old and has already accomplished so much on her own. She started her wolf movement which is all about staying positive and having self-love and has gained a large following from ultimately just being herself. Aside from being a bad bitch, she has recently released new music and performed at SXSW this year.
She basically preaches for all of us with her lyrics. We need to have her attitude when someone makes us feel like we can't do something or puts you through some shit. Like nah, "You ain't shit, You ain't it, And I been lit".
Stay lit @wolftyla.
Once you reach your early-mid 20’s, you are going to realize that skincare is everything. Females usually cover blemishes, acne, scars, etc. by caking their face. Trust me when I say this is a huge NO NO because you’re going to ultimately clog your pores even more and cause your skin more damage. It’s better to let your skin breathe and use natural products instead of face washes and masks made with synthetic ingredients.
So, I decided to see what the hype was all about and invested in a container of Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I bought it from Amazon, but you will definitely be able to find it at most drugstores. It’s also pretty affordable since it will definitely last for a couple of months. The powder contains 100% natural calcium bentonite clay and is free of additives, fragrances, and animal products.
YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE. It works wonders. I’ll keep it real, though. It has its cons. For instance, the first time you try this, you’re going to make a HUGE MESS since it’s POWDERED clay. You’re going to have to make the mask yourself with either ORGANIC apple cider vinegar or water. Don’t be discouraged. You can chill with the face mask on for about 20-30 minutes after you clean the mess you made making this mask.
After using this mask, I immediately saw a difference. My skin was visibly less oily for the rest of the week. I would only recommend using this mask once or twice a week. Also, if you have sensitive skin, I would only leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes instead of 20-30 minutes since it may cause slight redness THAT GOES AWAY. YOU WON'T BE RED FOREVER, OKAY!
If you care about your skin (which you should), give it a try!
It’s Wednesday and we’re here to give you some Hunnies inspiration.

Well here's a throwback video on the evolution of eyebrows. It'll probably make you reminisce or regret some of your eyebrow choices.

Product of the week goes to Pat McGrath's Metalmorphosis 005 Kit. The four piece sets features a silky cream pigment, metallic pigment, a mixing liquid and a black dual ended eyeliner.

The product of the week is a face/body scrub from Lush called “Ocean Salt”. It is retailed at $36.99 for 8.8 oz. Trust me when I say that it will do wonders for your breakouts. The sea salt exfoliates your skin while the avocado butter works to hydrate your skin leaving it feeling as soft as a baby’s. Unlike some cleansers, this scrub smells amazing (literally smells like you’re at the beach), and it ONLY consists of natural ingredients. That’s honestly the ultimate plus because it really isn’t healthy to use products made from harsh chemicals on your skin, let alone your face. Doing so may do your skin more harm than good and you’ll just end up breaking out more. That’s a no no! So, go cop one now (or ask to try it at your nearest location). It’s def something you need in your life!
Watch the video below to see how this scrub is made!
Meet Simone @slickwoods
Our #HCW this week is Simone Thompson, but you might know her by her IG handle, @slickwoods. She describes herself as an “Astronaut/Backwood Slayer/Retired Trapper/Assassin/Hanger/Viking/Naïve Oldhead/Lion of LionsNY”. As you can see, she’s not your typical high-fashion model. Through her unique look and swag, she ultimately redefines what it is to be a working model in the industry. Say goodbye to the days where you have to be a certain kind of pretty with long hair and perfect teeth to be a model. Slick Woods embodies the vibe of loving yourself the way you are and embracing your flaws. She’s the type who can walk down the runway at NYFW one day and just chill with her homies and roll up (with some backwoods, of course) the next. Instead of trying to uphold a certain image to fit in, she stands out by just being her true self. Doing so makes her a real G, in my book. Her career has skyrocketed this year and she has worked with big names like Rihanna and Kanye West. She usually goes for looks that intertwine high fashion with streetwear, and she slays nevertheless! She’s definitely a face you need to look out for!
Check her out:
Thanks for being a BADA$$, hunny! Your vibes are appreciated!

I’ve been ordering most of my fall must haves from here. Get your hands on the latest trends like chockers, bombers, over the knee boots, and waterfall coats. What’s really better than something cute on sale?
Check out some looks below:
Stay tuned for the next #BoutiqueFridays.
Makeup is expensive…VERY expensive.
You can spend $100 at Sephora and ONLY walk out with like two things. If you’re a fellow makeup lover and want to cut your expenses in half, here are some drug store dupes that you need in your life.
I have been using Benefit’s “They’re Real!” mascara for FOREVER now. I usually buy a new tube every 3-4 months. This has been my go to mascara ever since I first tried it five years ago. I have been so loyal to this mascara but something drastic happened this month. As I was closing the tube, it slipped out of my hand AND FELL IN THE TOILET. I’m surprised tears didn’t come out of my eyes. As I rushed to Sephora.com and was ready to spend $24 on a new one, I mentally slapped myself and was like NOOOO…go to Rite Aid and try something else. My BFF had recommended Maybelline’s “Great Lash”, and I decided to give it a try. I saved roughly around $20 with this decision. Its pricing differs depending on where you buy it, but it usually costs less than five bucks. I actually liked this mascara a lot because the fibers of the brush were similar to Benefit’s. The mascara didn’t clump my lashes, and it did its job. I really couldn’t find a huge difference between the two and was satisfied with my purchase. Dear Benefit, sorry for cheating!
I despise going out at night without wearing a pair of falsies. I wasn’t blessed with naturally long lashes. Makeup stores and IG online stores are filled with falsies that are pretty pricey. I remember buying a pair from Sephora thinking what the hell did I just do. I honestly tend to prefer drug store falsies more than pricier brands because they get messy after one or two wears, so why am I going to spend so much on something that I’m gonna end up throwing out when the night is over. My go to lashes are Ardell because they’re so cheap and you can get them almost anywhere. They’re usually about $5. “Babies” and “Baby Wispies” are my FAVES! They do its job without looking too dramatic. I’ve tried Giselle by Huda Beauty, retail priced at $18, and I noticed that whenever I get pricier lashes they don’t fit my eyes. I always have to cut the strip. Even after cutting the strip, the lashes itself are too long for my eye shape. So, Ardell you got me on lock right now.
Another dupe you need in your life is Garnier’s makeup remover wipes. I don’t use wipes from Sephora or Ulta, etc. because I’m in love with these. It crushes my soul just a little bit when I go to the store to re-up and they’re sold out and I have to settle for Neutrogena (No offense, Neutrogena). These wipes smell great and I only need one to take all my makeup off (foundation, eyeliner, mascara, contour, bronzer ETC, so one does a lot). I used them once to clean face powder off my white pants. That makes them multipurpose wipes if you ask me. They’re retailed at $4.79 compared to Sephora’s cleansing wipes which are retailed at $9.50.
I hope these drug store dupes saves you some serious cash! Be smart and #savethemonies.
Meet Alaysia @layz_chips
Our Hunny Crush Wednesday #HCW this week is Alaysia. She's a self taught makeup artist and young entrepreneur. She can create diferent looks from natural to dramatic special effects makeup.
Halloween is coming up Ladies! Check out her work below.
We asked Alaysia a few questions about her grind and here’s what she had to say:
1. What makes you different from other make up artists?
“To be honest, I don't know what makes me different from other artists. I’m an ambitious girl from the hood with a dream to rule the world. I believe that Black women aren't noticed as much because of beauty standards and I’m here to change that. I want to be a beauty guru so when women of color look on youtube or any other platform they can see themselves.”
2. How did you start doing makeup? When did you realize it was something you wanted to do long term?
“When I was younger I use to paint all the time on walls in school & buildings, on canvas, etc. But I stopped because I felt like there wasn't a solid career in painting. Fast forward to years later after I graduated college I knew I didn't want to work for anyone. I wanted to be free in my career decisions. At the time, I worked for Madewell and I quit my job so I can focus on my dreams. I wanted to be my own boss. Makeup is a form of art. You use some of the same techniques such as blending skills and mixing colors. I was the happiest when I was painting; it always took me to another place. And I wanted that freedom back. I always knew I wanted to start my own cosmetic company one day but I never thought that I would actually be the person expressing my talents through makeup. I remember I used to play with my mother’s makeup all the time. One day it all dawned on me that I’m actually good at doing makeup and I should pursuit it. (Actually God told me in a dream) I was honestly so scared to do so, but now I don't regret any of it.”
3. How do you use social media to brand yourself?
“Social Media from Facebook to Instagram have helped me grow a following to showcase my work. It also has helped me connect with others that are in the same industry as me as well as with other businesses I could partner with. I want to launch my Youtube page as soon as possible so I can create a larger following through social media. Branding myself through social media channels helps me create all types of a following because you connect with different types of consumers or fans within each channel. My personal branding methods also helps me meet new clients and that's always good. I believe this is one of the easiest ways to brand yourself in the makeup industry. Posting and creating new looks are a job. I love the feedback, it def motivates me to keep going, especially when I see other artists notice my work.”
Keep slayin’ girl! Stay tuned for our next #HCW!
"So, what do you even do?"
That is the exact type of question asked with women who stay a mystery. Whether she's a writer, manager, brand strategist, marketing maven, CEO...
She is sexy. She is smart. She is the brains behind the operations. She is the strategy. She is the process. She is the dope chick. She is Queen. She is the triple threat.
These are the type of women who DO DAMAGE behind the scenes. They are probably even behind the strategy or planning behind your favorite brands.
Check out our HUNNY CRUSH WEDNESDAY. #HCW
