My morning commute was lush! Happened upon singer/songwriter Rochelle Jordan from Canada. She has a soft approach to her music and the melodies she creates are soothing. She reminds me of Aaliyah. I made that conclusion before I heard the cover she did of Are You That Somebody HA! (it's a wicked cover By the Way)
Nonetheless she has a great ear to sing over "trap" drum patterns. I noticed she layers her music with alot of competing harmonies. Love that! it's truly the best way to make a song sound fuller.
Oh and while she may be new to some of us the talented writer also added her lyrical finesse to Childish Gambino's Telegraph ave. off his EP Because the Internet. Gotta love some good R&B vibes to start your day.
Listen to Lowkey a new track she release a little over a week ago. Thoughts?
